How to mount img file in Windows 8.1 I downloaded SQL Server 2014 from microsoft web store, but the downloaded file name "Sqldev_eng_mar14.img" is an img file and unable to mount img because of below error To open the same img file in Windows 8.1 please follow below steps First create the backup of original file. By copying and pasting the same in the folder.   Now rename the new file from "Sqldev_eng_mar14.iso" to "Sqldev_eng_mar14.iso".  Right click on the new file and select Mount.
